  1. just like toffee, but the salt on the crackers really makes it tasty. Super-easy, you'd never guess there were saltine crackers in there!

  2. I just received this recipe from a family member and whipped it up. It's so fast and easy to make! Rather than cutting while warm, our copy of the recipe instructed us to put it in the fridge until cold and then broke them into bite-sized pieces, which worked out perfectly!

  3. I made these and we loved them. I took some to a couple guys at work and they want more.

  4. This cookie is very easy to make, be sure and CUT WHILE WARM. But I think they taste better after they have completly cooled, or even the next day. In my opinion, they would even be good without the chocolate chips & nuts. The toffee taste is good all on its own. A quick, inexpensive, tasty treat.

  5. I made these today and we can't stop eating them. They're sweet, chewy and crunchy, and very easy to make. The hardest part was waiting for them to cool down. I couldn't find Saltines, so used Salada crackers which worked well. Be sure to stir the butter/sugar mixture frequently so it doesn't stick and burn. Even in the summer heat they kept very nicely wrapped in foil, with no need for refrigeration.
