Saucy Beef Tips With Egg Noodles (Inspired by Dream Dinners)

"This hearty all-in-one beef dish is packed with delicious strips of sirloin, onions, diced fresh carrots, diced fresh celery and a savory sauce that blends the flavors of garlic, sun dried tomatoes, red wine, rosemary and thyme. Slow cooked and served over warm egg noodles. This recipe is great for doubling or tripling by keeping the raw meat and sauce together in the freezer (in bags) for a quick hearty meal."

  1. Yummy...the whole family loved it. I didn't use quite as much sun dried tomatoes...I doubled the recipe and used 2 packages of sundried tomatoes which was just over 1 cup but still yummy none the less...will repeat especially since its getting cold out. Also served with French bread to help soak up the yummy sauce.

  2. Pretty good- nice over pasta. My sirloin wasn't tender until about 6 hours on high, in my little 3 qt. crockpot.<br/>This looks like it's going to taste like a beef stew, but it actually tastes more like something with a red tomato sauce. The large amount of sundried tomatoes adds quite a tang! Next time I will use a more moderate amount.

  3. This was really good. We omitted the beef base b/c we didn't have any. I added a little Worcestershire sauce and just a little bit of beef stock. We will make this again. Thanks!

  4. We had this last night for company, and doubled the recipe. The flavor was very good, but a little too salty. I will make this again, but will cut down on the beef base, and leave out the salt.

  5. Made this dish yesterday and when I came in the door from work my house smelled fantastic. The only difference was that I could only find Tri-tip bottom sirloin steaks but they were so tender they just fell apart. Will definitely make again. Thank you.

I loved to cook but 3 kids keep me busy shuffling them back and forth from their activities. Our family has softball, baseball & soccer practices and games 7 days of each week! My specialty is cooking while I am not actually in the house - the crock pot, bread machine, and oven that can be programed to go on and off are used every week so my family can walk into the house at 7:30pm to sit down and eat dinner immediatly. Meals are usually prepared on the weekends or while the children are at school because we are not home from 4 - 7pm when most people cook.
