Sausage, Pepper and Mushroom Pizza

  • 1 original crust Boboli pizza crust
  • 6 ounces Italian turkey sausage or 2 links Italian turkey sausage, casings removed
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 14 cup water
  • 1 cup pizza sauce or 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup part-skim mozzarella cheese, preferably fancy

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Crumble sausage into a medium nonstick skillet. Cook over medium heat, breaking up with a spatula or spoon until cooked through, 3-5 minutes.
  3. Place bell pepper, mushrooms adn water in a large microwave safe bowl. Cover and microwave on High until just tender, 3-4 minutes. Drain.
  4. Spread sauce evenly over the crust. Top with some of the cheese. Then add the sausage, pepper and mushrooms and sprinkle with the rest of the cheese.
  5. Bake until golden and cheese is melted, 8-10minutes.
