  1. I liked this very much. I only used 1 large potato and I put it in the microwave for 2 minutes first so that I could reduce the cooking time. I used half of the soup mix and half of the water. I don't think I used a whole pound of sausage. It ended up making about three servings or two large servings. Thanks for a speedy and yummy dish.

  2. I was looking for something different to do with sausage and this was perfect! The kids both liked it and what was left we used the next morning to go with eggs for breakfast. The only change I made was to bake it in the oven for about an hour instead of doing it on the stove in a skillet. It worked out great and will be made again.

  3. I've made this recipe hundreds of times since I first discovered it on the back of an Lipton Onion Soup Box. I use mild Italian sausage and squeeze the sausage out the casings in one inch chunks. In addition, I add a little garlic powder, dried basil and parsley flakes to the mixture when the water is added.

  4. This was one of the first recipes I started using when I first got married. Very good!!!

  5. I love simple and good. I used a red, green and onion frozen mixture and two cans of sliced potatoes. I followed the rest of the recipe as written and we really enjoyed it. The next time I would just brown my sausage a lot longer but that's just a personal preference. I also left the sausage in the pan when I added the rest of the ingredients so all the flavors would meld. I did cook mine longer then 20 minutes too.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
