Sausage Pie

"Perfect for breakfast, Sunday brunch or a light dinner served with a mixed green salad. Changing the type of sausage changes the dish considerably. I used fennel and asiago cheese sausage and also added a bit of cheese."

  • 2 12 cups whole milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 34 cups flour, plus
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 10 ounces precooked sausage links, one package
  • 4 scallions, thinly sliced

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Using a blender, mix the milk and eggs for 10 seconds.
  • Blend in the flour and salt for 2 minutes and let rest.
  • Meanwhile, slice the sausage and scallions.
  • Place sausage in a round glass oven dish which has been sprayed to prevent sticking.
  • sprinkle with scallions and pour egg batter over sausages.
  • Put in oven for 45 minutes or until puffed and browned.
  • Serve hot!

<p>I live with my husband, my 16 year-old son, our four- year old daughter, and two cats, one dog and a gecko. <br /> <br />I'm a stay-at-home mom as well as a Real Estate Agent with Connect Realty. It's keeping me busy and I don't have nearly as much time to check out Zaar as I'd like. <br /> <br />Although I really like to cook, I can't always devote the time to cooking. I've found many recipes on this site that can be made quickly that are very tasty and healthy. I've also found A TON of recipes that I'm dying to try. <br />I've been able to contribute a few recipes to this site. Just so you know, I am THE WORST when it comes to typing. Many errors.
