  • Remove casings from sausage. Cook it in a large sauce pan until browned, stirring to crumble. add the onion and garlic, cook for 2 minutes.
  • Stir in water, beans, tomatoes, broth. Cover and bring to a boil.
  • Remove from heat, stir in spinach, basil and oregano.
  • Sprinkle each serving with grated Romano cheese.
