My first husbands' great-aunt used to make this dish for every family pot luck, and there were MANY!! I always thought this was a family recipe that died with her! I made this recently - and I'm thrilled that it's Aunt Lee's exact recipe!! Absolutely divine!! Adding this to my recipe book to pass it on!

I halved this recipe as only I eat mushrooms around here. This a fast and easy dish to prepare, and tastes fantastic! I added just a splash of white wine as the mushrooms were sauteeing and when I added the bread crumbs I cooked it longer than the recipe states as I wanted the crumbs very crispy. The extra time paid off! I couldn't finish it all at one sitting, so I reheated some the next day...and they were barely soggy at all! LOVE IT!!! I will be making this again for sure.

I am a single gal, living on my own; currently working as an Occupational Therapist & living in Cumberland, MD. (It is "God's Country" out here...beautiful!) I LOVE to cook and bake, and love anything that looks, tastes, smells, or even closely resembles a veggie. I LOVE moo-cows, and therefore, cannot bring myself to eat any part of the adorable critters (i.e. NO RED MEAT!!)
I love the outdoors, and pride myself on being the master griller on the fire pit.
My mother's side of the family is 100% Polish, so I have an inborn passion for cooking...unfortunately, along with that comes a love of eating, too!! But, hey..u only live once, so I say "EAT, DRINK, and BE MERRY!!!"
