Chardonnay Sauteed Mushrooms

"We love this as a side dish whenever we have steak. Seasonings are approximate as I just sprinkle over the mushrooms."

directions

  • Clean mushrooms and set aside.
  • Melt butter in WOK or stainless steel frying pan. Slowly add the wine.
  • Add the mushrooms.
  • Sprinkle Worcestershire sauce over mushrooms. I like to make sure there is some over every mushroom.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper over mushrooms. Sprinkle minced garlic over all.
  • Saute; stirring occasionally over high heat until mushrooms are tender and the sauce and wine is reduced, approximately 15 - 20 minutes.

  4. These mushrooms are wonderful! Great flavor for a side dish to steak or just by themselves! I didn't think they needed any salt, so I just used the pepper. Thanx for sharing.

  5. These are very good. I fixed them to have with my steak, and they are the perfect accompaniment.

Tweaks

  1. What I like to do with mushrooms is to first cook the moisture out of the sliced mushrooms in a skillet with no oil or butter. Then when you sautee them in butter and wine you can infuse more flavor into them. (Tip I got from a chef's article.)
