Ingredients Nutrition

  • 4 lbs roast, good lean cut
  • 2 (10 ounce) cans reduced-sodium fat-free beef broth
  • 1 (14 ounce) can reduced-sodium diced tomatoes
  • 1 (10 ounce) jar fat free beef gravy
  • 1 (10 ounce) jar mushrooms
  • 4 -6 fresh carrots
  • 4 -6 potatoes
  • 1 bell pepper


  1. brown meant lightly-place all ingredients in crockpot on low in early am or night before.
  2. you can also- use low fat/sodium broth in place of regular.
  3. You can also take sodium count down further by using fresh mushrooms instead of jarred.
  4. if you are not worried about the diet just use reg broth- heinz savory gravy and the jarred mushrooms.
  5. do not forget to clean the vegetables.
