ingredients

bread
7 eggs
1 cup milk
¹⁄₂ cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 dash nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 orange, zest of

directions

Blend all Ingredients (EXCEPT Bread), Preferably in a blender or a stick mixer.
Dip bread in batter and fry until golden brown on each side.
If you wish, top with Vanilla Ice Cream and your choice of Fruit Sauces.

This was a delicious recipe for French Toast. A little bit eggier and a nice hint of orange to make it special - very nice. I used challah bread and halved the recipe - the half batch of batter was enough for about 14 slices of challah. A good choice for overnight guests as this was fast, economical, yet a litle more special than ordinary French Toast. Thanks for sharing!
