  • 20 ounces Simply Potatoes Diced Potatoes with Onion
  • 1 (20 ounce) bag frozen rutabagas (turnip)
  • 4 tablespoons butter or 1/2 cup margarine
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1 12 cups milk (or use 1-12 oz can of evaporated milk with 2 oz water) or 1 1/2 cups light cream (or use 1-12 oz can of evaporated milk with 2 oz water)
  • 12 cup bacon bits

  • Combine potatoes and rutabagas in a buttered casserole dish.
  • Cut butter into small pieces and dot vegetables.
  • Sprinkle flour evenly onto vegetables.
  • Pour milk over vegetables.
  • Sprinkle bacon bits over top.
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes until bubbling and slightly brown on top.
