  1. Bake sweet potatoes at 350 for 40 minutes or until soft to the touch but still firm inside.
  2. Cool and peel; slice into 1 inch slices. Place in 10 inch casserole, which has been coated with cooking spray.
  3. Combine brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg, sprinkle over sweet potatoes.
  4. Peel and slice apples; layer on top of sweet potatoes. Sprinkle in dried fruit.
  5. Dot butter on top. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour or until apples are tender.
