- 1 1⁄2 cups uncooked long-grain rice
- 1 1⁄2 cups water
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can beef consomme, undiluted
- 2 tablespoons chopped green peppers
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1⁄8 teaspoon onion powder
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a Dutch oven; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
