Sensational Meat Marinade

"I originally had this marinade posted with my Savoury Chicken #60844, but it is so good with all sorts of meats that I decided to repost on its own. Very easy to make up. Sensational flavour. You'll love it as much as I do."

  1. Used this for chicken and it was good, not great. I think it would probably work really well for steak.

  2. Tasty marinade but it made way more than I needed for my roast so I'm saving the rest for the next one. I increased the garlic & ginger abit. Also added abit of teriyaki sauce I had on hand. We used it on a pork roast & it came out flavourful, thanks for sharing.

  3. Great marinade and even better sauce when reduced. I used Madeira wine and forgot to add the oregano, but my hugely picky family really liked it. So thumbs up!!!

  4. I was feeling very motivated the other morning before I got ready for work. I had a steak defrosting in the fridge overnight so I thought that I would whip this up in the morning and let it marinade all day. WOW ! So glad I tried this method.....the steak was amazing that night...in fact it was so big that I had enough left over for a sandwich last night and I think that it was even better the following day! I will definitely put this in my marinade keeper file ! Thanks so much for a winner!

  5. this IS great - the wine enables the marinade to really get into the meat - this has a teriyaki kindof flavor -

I moved out here many, many years ago from Ottawa, Canada - so I am blessed in having two wonderful heritages! I suffer from compulsive obsessive behaviour with regard to food and my psychiatrist thought it would be a good idea to find a 'society' where many have the same problem and try to find a cure. So far, I've copied a couple of thousand recipes from this site and my psychiatrist has thrown the towel in and refuses to answer the phone when I call. What did I do wrong? Got 3 kids that keep me on the go - 10 and under at this point (2008) - I may not get round to updating this for a few years, so you'll have to do your own maths. I teach English full-time and Greek Cookery part-time. I would like to make the cooking part of it full-time and the English Grammar part of it part-time. That's all for now.
