Seven Layer Salad

"This is always a favorite at family gatherings. Be sure to use a large glass bowl to show off the layers. You can substitute low-fat or even non-fat mayonnaise, sour cream, and cheese to make it a little bit healthier."

  • Hard boil eggs and let cool.
  • Cook peas according to package directions and let cool.
  • Cook bacon and let cool.
  • Shred lettuce into bottom of large glass bowl.
  • Slice eggs and place on top of lettuce.
  • Slice green onions and celery thinly and place over eggs in layers.
  • Drain and pour peas over the salad for the next layer.
  • Mix the mayonnaise and sour cream together and spread over the top.
  • Cover with the shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Crumble bacon over the top to finish.
