Directions

  1. Season ribs with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  2. In a large Dutch oven or kettle, place ribs and onion. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Add enough water to cover; bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1-1 1/2 hours or until tender.
  5. Meanwhile, combine sauce ingredients in a saucepan.
  6. Simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
  7. Drain ribs, place on a rack in broiler or on a hot grill.
  8. Brush with sauce.
  9. Broil 5 inches from the heat for 5 minutes on each side, brushing frequently with sauce.
