- 2 cups glycerin, soap base
- 2 tablespoons shea butter
- 3 drops essential oils (optional)
directions
- In a double boiler, melt glycerin soap base. Meanwhile, melt the shea butter seperately.
- Combine the glycerin base, shea butter, and essential oil (if using).
- Pour into molds. Cool completely before unmolding.

I love experimenting with new recipes for the bath! I had the inredients, so I ended up making this recipe. I melted the glycerine soap base down and measured out 2 cups. (The rest went into a old tupperware container...the glycerine just pops out when you need to re-melt it). Both these ingredients are very good for dry, damaged skin. I got 7 bars of soap, but that all depends on the size of mold you use. I used a heart shape mold for mine. If you have problems un-molding, put it in the freezer for 30 minutes and that will help release the soap. Any handcrafted soap makes a wonderful hostess gift
