  • Melt butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.
  • Add cardamom seeds and stir for 30 seconds.
  • Add vermicelli and cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly for 2-3 minutes or until browned.
  • Add milk and dates.
  • Cook over medium-low heat for 10 minutes, stirring constantly and skimming foam if necessary, until noodles are tender.
  • Add sugar.
  • Cook for 1-2 minutes until sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Remove from heat and stir in rose water.
  • Pour in a bowl and set aside to cool.
  • Refrigerate to chill before serving.
  • Before serving, garnish with nuts and silver leaf.
