  1. Melt margarine in a saucepan.
  2. Add brown sugar and salt.
  3. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly for 2 minutes.
  4. Add milk, continue stirring until mixture comes to a boil.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Add powdered sugar and vanilla.
  7. Beat well.
  8. Add additional milk if icing is too thick.
