  1. This is the recipe I made years ago and was searching for again. Add 1/4 cup more sugar, press in a large deep dish glass pie plate after well blending (it never sticks together for a ball for me), cut, then bake 25 minutes at 300 then turn the heat to 345 and bake until brown (about 15-25 more minutes) I have always used regular sugar although I will try the fruit sugar and brown sugar the next times I make this. This is suppose to be a five star rating but it is showing no stars (I starred it with five stars a few days ago before writing the review)

  2. I tried these out the other day. The dough was dry and did not hold together, so i had to add about 1/2 cup of oil so it would hold together. I baked it on even lower heat, about 284 degrees fahrenheit, it ended up very delicious. The sugar is very less, so you may want to sprinkle sugar on top of the hot shortbread. I iced them with baking chocolate. Very crisp and delicious shortbread.
