  1. Sadly, this didn't turn out too great for me. I didn't have any parsley to hand so omitted it, the rest of the directions I followed to the letter. It still ended up tasting overwhelmingly of mayonnaise, albeit with the sweetness of tarragon and sharpness of vinegar. I think this recipe heavily depends on what sort of mayonnaise you use, or perhaps really needs the parsley.

  2. hmmmm not awful but way too mayonnaise if that is even a word and I love mayo. I halved the recipe as it is only for me. 1 steak. I really feel fresh Tarragon and Parsley would have make a difference . I think I will stick with the real Bearnaise sauce I have made before.. However what I did to save this was to add some water and a bit more vinegar and garlic. It did help a lot. Try that folks.

  3. Thank you yooper for this tip. I have made this tonight -easy - tasty and compliments. What more can you ask? I'm a bit of a foody and was sceptical but I am throwing the jar out and my hubby said it was one of the best meals he has tasted. I did a chateaubriand ( easy) and garlic potatoes ( also on recipezaar). This sauce topped it. Thanks again. Sheila ( English amateur cook )

  4. This is delicious!! I was planning to make French Tart's Bastille Burger - bernaise, blue cheese, and red onion Burgers.# 240455 .. I ran to town for blue cheese and bernaise sauce, but bought Hollandaise by accident! I certainly was not going back again! Recipezaar to the rescue!! Thank you Yooper, for posting such a easy tasty recipe!

  5. I prepared this sauce for the Gordon's Restaurant Artichoke Fritters (Recipe # 132998) and it was excellent. I don't claim to be a Bernaise sauce expert, but this recipe is easy and the results are delicious.
