  • saute onion, green pepper, celery, and garlic in oil and flour.
  • add water, fish bouillon, tomatoes, worcestershire, black pepper, red pepper, and paprika.
  • simmer for 10 minutes.
  • add package of frozen okra.
  • simmer 10 minutes.
  • If desired, you can add some rice or barley at this point if you prefer a thicker soup.
  • Add shrimp when ready to serve (to keep it from getting mushy) and simmer for 5 min (to warm it up).
