Directions

  1. Cover prunes with cold water and soak overnight.
  2. Simmer until tender in the same water.
  3. Add half the sugar and cook five minutes longer.
  4. Remove prunes; measure 1/2 cup juice, add orange juice, remaining sugar and kumquats and simmer until kumquats are tender.
  5. Add prunes.
