"This recipe comes from an old Canadian insurance company recipe book (???) from the fifties. Everybody loves this recipe, especially those who don't like pineapples."

  1. I made this for my work's Xmas potluck in 2007 and everyone thought it was delicious! A great change from the old pineapples and cherries, to which I am not partial. I even had people ask for some to take home! Two thumbs up!

  2. People will be attracted to the aroma while it's baking. My husband loved this recipe.

  3. I did not have to boil my ham as it came hickory smoked semi-cooked and pre-sliced. I also didn't have ground cloves, so I just stuck about 20-30 whole cloves around the ham inbetween each of the slices. I made the brown sugar and mustard sauce to pour over the top and then cooked it for 2 hours at 350 when it fell off the bone. Great smell and wonderful flavor. Thanks!
