Simple Caffe Latte (Cafe Quality at Home!)

"Make a fancy coffee house beverage from your own home. No special equipment required. I learned to make my own coffee house espresso beverages at home and save money. I use a french press (also known as a plunger pot or "Bodum" pot) to brew the coffee. It is the next best brew to Espresso. You can also of course use an espresso machine if you have one, or use strong freshly brewed coffee (preferably double strength at least). The lower-end espresso machines are really not worth the money, they don't work that well. I have one and use the french press instead!"

  1. Great stuff and easy too - I just made double strength coffee in my drip pot and it came out great. I can not wait to try this with Starbucks expresso ground. Thanks for this keeper.

  2. Nice and easy! I followed LatteLover's suggestion and made double strength coffee in my french press. Very tasty and certainly less expensive than going to a coffee house and just as good if not better.

  3. Made this coffee and added the chocolate syrup, also a recipe by LatteLover, for a terrific iced mocha latte. I can now have at home what I have enjoyed from the 'buck store and save money! Thanks for posting Debra.

  4. We make something like this all the time, except we first pour the hot milk into a glass coffee cup, then add the shot of espresso. Here it's called a cafe hafuch (translated to upside down coffee in English). The effect of the coffee shot poured into the cup of milk gives it a flipped look.
