  1. Very good! I cut recipe down to make a 9 x 9 pan (I used just the egg yolk to make "1/2 egg"). I used chocolate chips, but will try dried cranberries next time. Great sweet treat that isn't too high in anything. Made for Fall 2011 PAC game.

  2. Big hit in this house! Anything the 18 mo will chomp on that isn't loaded with bad for her stuff is good enough for me. I used craisins in place of the chocolate chips, and since all I have is a lousy airbake pan, this took about 21 minutes to be all the way done in my oven. I lined the pan with parchment and slid these out onto a board to cut. I think 27 is the perfect amount to cut this into as well... Not too small and not too large. Thanks for sharing!

  3. This was so good! I will definitely be making this again... maybe immediately. I have been making my own granola for some time now...this is the best one for my needs. I am a dancer, and need something to get me through hours of rehearsal... that I can eat quickly and gives me energy. This was the easiest, quickest, I had everything already in stock, and delicious! I cheated a little bit, I added some salt, a drop of vanilla, and more chocolate chips/peanut chips than the recipe called for (I just can't help myself)... next batch will be healthy and have some fruits and nuts and stuff.. maybe! I can't wait to try different combinations. Thank you Tootsie for the great recipe!

  4. Definitely the easiest granola bar recipe I've tried... and honestly, the best! I followed exactly.... my oven also took about 20 minutes. I might also try with craisins or PB chips next time -- thanks so much for sharing, it's a keeper!

  5. Very yummy, very chewy, and very easy! I only ended up having enough for about a 9x9 pan (which was already occupied) so I just spread it out on my bigger pan, but it turned out just fine. I also added more chocolate chips (I can never have enough chocolate). I will be making this again! :)

As a young adult, I moved to England and there married, had our children and in the 12th year moved back with the tribe. My husband and I have a passion for cooking. Both of us have great fun exploring what we will have that week and shop accordingly. Cooking together has made a brilliant partnership even better. Oh, and by the way, he is "The Breadman." Any Questions? You now know where to go.
