Simple Iced Latte

"This is a simple iced latte recipe made from coffee with no sweeteners. PLEASE use a good quality coffee; I use Starbucks Sumatra. My husband likes to add a bit of flavored coffee syrup to his, but I like mine unsweetened. My hubby was surprised at how good it was unsweetened. He thought it had a sweetener in it. He thinks that as is it tastes just like a Starkbucks Frappuccino. I'm not sure I remember exactly how theirs tastes- but it can't be much better than this. This recipe makes 2 quarts. It never lasts more than a day or two here. We love this drink."

  1. This is SO good. One of the best iced latte recipes out there, and I'm a coffee addict. :) I used Starbucks Expresso Blend. I love it and will be making it a LOT!Thanks for sharing this excellent keeper! EDIT 11/2/09 - I just wanted to say that I've even been enjoying this in the fall. I add a little bit of maple syrup and cinnamon to my cup and it's divine. Love this stuff! MMM!

Hello! My name is Carla. I have 5 kids ages 10 and under. I love to cook, sing, paint, bicycle, and play piano. It's hard to squeeze in that many activities anymore though, but I still manage. I grew up in Alabama and learned to cook everything southern. I spent a lot of my childhood and all of my adult life in Colorado, the healtiest state in the nation. I've become a health and fitness fanatic. I'ts a real trick to balance healthy eating and southern cooking. I've learned to make a lot of modifications to make those southern dishes work for us though.
