directions

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Place pasta in the pot, cook for 8 to 12 minutes, until al dente, and drain.
  • In a large bowl, toss the cooked pasta with the Italian dressing, cucumbers, tomatoes, and green onions. In a small bowl, mix the Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, and mix into the salad. (You could use McCormick's Parmesan Herb Seasoning Blend instead - use the whole jar of 1.87 ounces.)
  • Cover, and refrigerate until serving.

  1. Loved it!!!Simple but so delicious.I used homemade Italian seasoning and dressing. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Awesome quick recipe! Used a Briana's artichoke vinegarette (b/c what we had) and did all the rest the same, BUT, cut the recipe in half! Saving for lunch tomorrow and I am psyched! Thanks for the recipe!

  3. Very good!!! Made using recipe#274989 and macaroni noodles (DH preference). Reduced it to a serving for 4 and left out the italian seasoning since the dressing had it mixed in. Made for 1-2-3-Hits March 10'.

  4. Superrific! ....used this for a quick *Saturday Lunch at the Farm* side salad and just adored the ease and the use of many fresh veggies in this pasta salad. I used curly-spiral pasta, which kept all the wonderful seasoning in the pasta...I love the green onion chopped on this too! No stopping yourself when it comes to making this salad, you will be glad you did. I let this marinate over-night and added a bit of coarse sea-salt to the top upon serving. Made for *Veg Vegan* Swap. September 2009

  5. This is a great simple beginners pasta salad that is DELICIOUS! You can play with this in many ways to accommodate your needs. First time made as is. 2nd time added cubed cheeses (provolone & colby jack). This is a must try for first timers, it gives you something to work with. Thanks for the recipe.

I'm a now vegan who used to make one heck of a souvlaki. I love cooking, I was a huge fan of Moosewood and Molly Katzen prior to going vegan (although that has nothing to do with my choosing the name Katzen - that's just what my German Grandma has called me all my life.) Aside from cooking, I also love scuba diving, cycling, politics, and reading.
