- 1 (16 ounce) can black beans
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
- 1⁄4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- salt
directions
- In a medium saucepan, combine beans, onion, and garlic, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low. Season with cilantro, cayenne, and salt. Simmer for 5 minutes, and serve.

Sometimes simplicity can be the best! This was a nice change of pace from the normal refried beans usually served with Mexican fare. And it came together even quicker than the time states. For my own personal prefernce, I might saute the onion and garlic in a little butter before adding in the beans next time. Thanks for posting! Made for ZWT3.
