Simple Steak Sauce

"You can add or omit indgredients to this sauce to your own taste. I love to make my own dressings and sauces and I think this is a great foundation for a steak sauce."

  1. I tried this with 4-years-expired Worcestershire sauce and 2-years-expired soy sauce on a poorly seasoned well-done steak and MY GOD was it delicious!

  2. I usually have steak sauce on hand but didn’t and wanted some to go with our Raclette last night. This was simple like it says and fast to make. We really liked it! I used white vinegar and Tabasco. Thanks for the recipe. :)

  3. This was really good. I added some liquid smoke to it. I doubled it, but that was still not enough. Next time I'll quadruple it!!!

  4. Very simple and tasty steak sauce

  5. I needed a steak sauce while making dinner and realized I didn't have any. This recipe was a great base recipe and can be customized however you like. Personally, I didn't have Worcestershire sauce, but that wasn't a problem. I combined 2 tbsp reduced-sugar ketchup, 1 tsp balsamic vinegar, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and a few drops of Hotter Than El Ghost Pepper sauce. Really good, will try other combinations. Thanks for the recipe!

I live in Colorado. I LOVE it here! My husband and I own a motorcycle service and repair shop (primarily Harley's, but not in a snobbish way- if you love to ride- you are our kind of people- no matter what you ride.) We also have an on site machine shop and we make all kinds of custom parts and accessories. I don't have a favorite cookbook, but some of my favorite recipes come from old newspapers and family recipes. I really enjoy pottery, being outdoors, camping, growing herbs, flowers, and veggies, and spending time with my friends and family. I also love to grab a beer or glass of wine and just hang out w/friends.I also love to spend time with myself in a bath with a good book. (I don't find anything wrong with drinking alone under these circumstances.)
