Simple Steak Stroganoff

"One of my dad's faves...very simple, very tasty. Nice variation of hamburger stroganoff. My family loves it on cooked egg noodles or baked potatoes. Served with a veggie, this is a great throw-together meal when you're short on time."

  1. Very rich. I was worried that it was going to be too rich, but it blended nicely with plain egg noodles.

  2. Awesome rich sauce. Next time I'll cook the steak separately since we like it medium rare and then add at the end. Yum!

  3. Wow! This was so easy; and, although I'm not a stroganoff expert, this was very tasty! I had leftover steak and pasta to use up, so I tried your recipe. I prepared it exactly as written, although I am not a mushroom fan, so I left them out. It was simple and very good. I, too, love garlic, so I MAY have used more than 2 cloves...but, who's counting? Served with twice baked potatoes (more leftovers) and Recipe#61849, with cucumbers from my garden. Thanks for making my leftovers into such a great meal!

  4. Wow..my tastebuds were racing. Have to honestly say this was the easiest recipe I have ever used and quite simply the best tasting. Can't wait to have the leftovers tonight...

I am a single gal, living on my own; currently working as an Occupational Therapist & living in Cumberland, MD. (It is "God's Country" out here...beautiful!) I LOVE to cook and bake, and love anything that looks, tastes, smells, or even closely resembles a veggie. I LOVE moo-cows, and therefore, cannot bring myself to eat any part of the adorable critters (i.e. NO RED MEAT!!) I love the outdoors, and pride myself on being the master griller on the fire pit. My mother's side of the family is 100% Polish, so I have an inborn passion for cooking...unfortunately, along with that comes a love of eating, too!! But, hey..u only live once, so I say "EAT, DRINK, and BE MERRY!!!"
