Simple Vanilla Cupcakes

"Easy and simple but can be made individual with a slight twist or a special icing. For a nice twist, can add frozen fruit just before it goes into the oven and it will burst into flavor and color."

  2. These turned out terrible. I can't believe how ashamed I am of these cupcakes. They are so dry and flaky, and taste awful. It didn't help at all that the frosting I used was too liquidy. I will not be making these again. (I'm considering giving these to people I don't like)

  3. This is a very nice and simple recipe! Although the cupcakes turned out very nice, they were a little bland. I would recommend adding a little extra sugar. I would also recommend reducing the baking time by 2-3 minutes. But overall, this is a great recipe!

  4. I used this recipe to create tie-n-dye cupcakes for my baby. They tasted great, the consistency was perfect! I used simple whipped cream to top them off. The whole thing was just the perfect amount of sweet.

  5. Delicious and easy to prepare. I put an Oreo cookie before putting the batter in sometimes. I also use a custard-butter frosting sometimes too. I tweaked it by adding half tsp of baking soda and one tsp of baking powder instead of 2 tsps of baking powder. I added 1 tsp of vegetable oil with the butter and the sugar. It helps with the fluffiness. :-)

  2. Used this recipe last night and they turned out fantastic!! I used raw brown sugar instead of casting sugar which I found it gave it more sweetness so 3/4 was definitely enough and I just topped it off with a fluffy butter icing mixture. :)

  3. I was looking for an easy cupcake recipe to bake with my daughters. They came out perfect!!!! The girls enjoyed making and eating them. My husband loves them. This will be my go to recipe for school birthdays and when having guests :). Instead of 3/4 cup sugar I used one cup and added an extra spoon of vanilla extract as I saw a couple of reviews saying the cupcakes were bland. I baked them for 18 minutes and were still moist!!!. Yum!!!

  4. The overall recipe worked great. Instead of adding vanilla extract, I used lemon extract which made lemon cupcakes. They turned out great :)

  5. my tweak was to use 2 cups of self raising flour and no salt. baked for 20 minutes and they turned out really good
