  1. I made this for a week-end supper and it was a great way to fix round steak ! I have not bought a round steak in years because it can be a tougher cut of meat but , I had to try this recipe because my mother cooked a simmilar dish . I like the fact that you just put it on to cook and can leave it and go do other things for an hour. I served it with steamed rice and it was great !! It turned out very tender . I guess I will be buying round steak more often now !!!

  2. My mom also used to make this recipe a lot! It is simple to make and is very tasty. The only difference is, my mom's recipe called for 1/2 cup of cooking sherry to be added to the sauce mixture. Just helps tenderize the meat a little more, and adds a bit more flavor to an already yummy dish.

  3. The meat was very tender and this is a good, easy dinner.Next time I will take Just Cher's suggestions and add some garlic and beef broth for a bit more flavor,

  4. This is a great recipe for round steak! I did use 3 gloves of garlic instead of the garlic salt and fresh mushrooms as that is what I had. I added about 1/2 cup of beef broth and the recipe was sizzlin. The beef came out very tender. I served this over noodles but rice would work great as well. Thanks for a simple but tasty recipe. We all enjoyed!
