Sinfully Silly Snickers Apple Fruit Salad

"As seen on The View. The ladies of The View thought it was fantastic. I've yet to try it. Serving size was not mentioned so I've guestimated. Use the kingsize Snickers bars which are 3.7 ounces. If you can't find them, just figure out the ounces and use smaller ones.......easy enough."

  1. I love this recipe. It is fast to make and SO freaking good!

  2. What fun! Tasty, easy, delicious and of course silly. I served this as dessert for a weekend luncheon on a whim. My guests and I were suitably impressed. I used Granny Smith Apples and I whipped my own cream, adding a teaspoon of vanilla extract to it. Five stars.

  3. I made this for my MOPs group and it seemed to go over well. It's delicious right away. The only downfall is that the apples aren't as crisp the next day. So, if you make this, eat it the same day and it will be a hit!

  4. This was good, but my son and I kept searching for the snickers because they were the best part! I even added 2 bananas (after the first couple bites we thought it needed something) and that ramped up the taste. It was fun to try, but I don't think we'll make it again. Would be fun for a kids party or slumber party.

  5. I tried this for our card party last night and everyone loved it. And then, of course, I got asked for the recipe. The combination of Snicker's and apple is just unbelievable. I did not freeze the candy, but merely put it in the fridge for a few hours to firm up. It was still easy to cut and the chocolate didn't melt. Instead of whipping cream, I used Cool-Whip. I couldn't find a 12 oz. container so I bought the 16 oz. thinking I'd just use the leftover for something else. I ended up using all the Cool-Whip and it probably could have used a little more. Maybe the apples I used were a little larger than average. I also put in 2 Gala apples along with the Granny Smith. I liked the combination of the sweet/tart apples. Definitely a keeper and will be making again.
