Sippy Cup Valve Cleaner
"A super easy way to get all the gunk out of those rubber valves in your toddler's sippy cup and bottles. The only bad part is that they smell minty when you're done, but a good cleaning should take care of that"

- 1 denture tablet
- 1 1⁄2 cups hot water
directions
- Dissolve denture tablet in hot water and add the valves from your sippy cups. Let them soak overnight and then rinse and wash with regular detergent.
- Do this every couple of weeks to get rid of the gunk that accumulates in all those little crevices.

Just had to comment before even trying this. This is an awesome idea! I always worry that the valves aren't coming clean. I'll definitely be doing this in the future and will update then! -
this really does a wonderful job on my gladware travelling glasses/cups...no more fighting with a toothbrush to get them clean...thanks for this handy hint

I love cooking and can't resist trying to figure out what ingredients went into a good meal. I'm not really one for measuring, and usually just make things up as I go along. My brain tends to shut down at the sight of too many ingredients in a recipe (must be A.D.D. or something) so that's something I'm trying to work on. Most of my recipes are quick and easy to make, since I'm usually trying to get dinner out in a hurry. My family is Greek and my husband is Irish, but also lived in Spain for several years, so my cooking tends to reflect those cultures, but in general we're fairly adventurous.
