Sirloin Steak With Garlic Butter

  • Preheat grill for high heat.
  • In a pan, melt butter and add garlic powder and minced garlic.
  • Set aside.
  • Sprinkle both sides of each steak with salt and pepper.
  • Grill steaks 4 to 5 minutes per side, or to desired doneness.
  • When done, transfer to plates.
  • Brush tops liberally with garlic butter, and allow to rest for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.
  • This can be made in the oven, on the stove top or on the grill. I prefer to make these on the grill.

  1. Quick, easy and delicious was to use up the 10s of pounds of Certified Angus Beef sirloin I purchased. It is absolutely the best ... melt in your mouth yummy!
     
  2. Delicious. DH wanted a portion cup of the garlic butter to dip each bite into!. Made by the recipe and grilled to med rare, it came out perfectly done to our liking. I used Kosher salt and a mix of black and white pepper corns ground directly onto the steaks. Yum.
     
  3. I made this but followed Jackie's idea. I brushed the sirloin with half of the butter/garlic mixture and let the sirloin come to room temperature. I then grilled it til it was medium-well and then topped with the remaining butter mixture and we really enjoyed the steak. Next time I would add some Montreal Steak Seasoning as well!! Thanks for sharing the recipe!!! Made for 123 tag!!
     
  4. I'm new to Zaar... I made this last night and tried Jackie's idea of brushing the steaks with the garlic butter before adding the salt and butter.... Didn't add it after the steaks were done; there wasn't anything left to save for lunch today... I usually use assorted spices on my steaks, so this was the first time that I just used salt and pepper.. Turned out wonderful. Only thing I would change is how long I grilled them for... a bit too pink for my taste... Would definately recommend this and will make it again. mG

I have two boys Eddie 18 and Brandon 10. I have been with my hubby for 16 years. I work full time outside the home and my boys keep me busy at home. Eddie is a singer and base guitar player in a band and Brandon races go karts. We also have a Collie/Beagle mix named Sugar. I love to cook and try out new recipes. These recipes will be made again and again. 4 Stars = Recipe was good, but needed some modifications or it was good but not something we would want on a regular basis.
