Questions & Replies

  1. Could someone share with me the secret to this? I tried it for dinner last night and you could hear the crickets chirping when it came time to try the corn! Lol!! I used can corn and drained the juice, subbed olive oil for butter, and used a garlic powder (didnt have minced on hand). It all went to the garbage. :/ I really am not a horrible cook, but have been trying to fancy up some simple dishes to get picky eaters to eat healthier. He likes grilled corn on the cob, but not can corn. Any ideas?

  1. This does take frozen corn to a new level. The flavor was fantastic and it is just as easy as making regular frozen corn, only I think it's less "mushy" this way. I served this with my families Kielbasa and tator tots. It was gobbled up. Thanks for dressing up our basic meal. I love it and will be making it often. I followed the directions exactly and was rewarded with a fantastic side dish. Thanks for sharing Marie.

  2. I've made this at least 6 times and it's always a hit! My hubby says that he never knew corn could taste this good! It's very simple, but the flavor is there. It has become one of my go-to side dishes. PS - I often just leave out the thyme (not a huge fan of it), and it is still so good!

  3. We love adding garlic and Thyme - give corn another option for taste. The butter works well too. All of the above has being home cooks FUN !!!

  5. Only reason for 4 stars is I was crazy about this, but my husband thought too garlicky and salty.my fault I think, I was in rush, and used garlic salt. Also added some cilantro,as I love it. Sauteed in butter and olive oil. Will make and review again.following exact directions. Such a great use for frozen , boring corn. Served with oven bab chicken, and potato salad.
