Slimming World Friendly Breakfast Butty Unbelievable!

“In one month I have lost 9.5lbs on slimming world and I am still amazed at the stuff I can eat whilst losing weight, this is a great example of this. I would have thought (previously) this would make me fatter! But following slimming world principles I can eat these quite happily and not break my diet. This recipe uses “free foods” and both healthy extras (the bread and cheese) on the extra easy slimming world plan. I find if I eat this I’m stuffed til tea time so it makes a good brunch sandwich remember to trim off all the fat on the bacon 0 syns but uses both healthy extra choices. This is the type of sandwich eaten with a knife and fork.”

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 2 slices bacon (all visible fat removed)
  • 1 whole wheat roll (small)
  • 3 mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 slice low-fat cheese (the prepackaged slices intended for burgers)
  • 2 lettuce leaves

Directions

  1. heat a non stick pan til its hot hot hot, add bacon and mushrooms and fry until crisp.
  2. remove bacon from pan and put to one side, split and toast your wholemeal bun, fry your egg to you liking.
  3. put bacon on bottom of toasted bun followed by mushrooms then cheese and finally egg and lettece. Marvel at the fact this is diet food! and how on earth am I losing weight eating this.
