Sloppy Bows

"Kids love this! I came up with this when company dropped in and my planned Sloppy Joes needed to be stretched. If you have a favorite Joe recipe, feel free to substitute or improvise. That's half the fun of cooking!"

  1. This was so easy to make and both my kids ate it up so a big bonus! I made as is rather than using my regular sloppy joe sauce and this one was good too. I did add an extra 2 tsp of brown sugar but otherwise made as is. Made for Football Pool Week 16 win.

  2. I like that this was easy to do. My son liked it. But for us we thought it needed more flavor. I used one large onion. I used another shape of pasta. Thanks ElaineAnn :) Made for I Recommend tag game

  3. Made for your Football Pool win mainly because I esp favor versatile recipes & this invited further expansion for us. I added chopped mushrooms & olives GARLIC (a must for us). I wonder if a choice of veggie could be added as well? Maybe corn? This would be good made in lrg qty & frozen in portions ideal for 2 when served w/a salad on nites you need a quick-fix meal. Congrats on your Football Pool win & thx for sharing this recipe w/us.

  4. I thought this would be a nice alternative to pasta or sloppy joes. It is easy to prepare and goes a long way (I might even freeze some of it). I mixed in 1/2 of the cheese and put the other 1/2 on top. DH thought it was wonderful but I thought it could use a bit more flavor. Thanks.

  5. i wanted something easy and good, and i didn't want to spend alot of time cooking since it was just me.so i fixed only half of this recipe(since i have a sweet tooth :),i left in the full amount of brown sugar).instead of putting in the oven i finished on the stove top. i turned off the heat, after adding the cheese i covered the pan and let the cheese melt to make it thicker. when i put a serving on my plate i added a little grated parmesan-romano cheese blend and it tasted very good.if i need a quick meal,i'll turn to this recipe.thank you for posting.
