  • 6 (15 ounce) cans beans, of your choice (butter, kidney, pinto, navy, etc)
  • 1 (15 1/2 ounce) can sloppy joe sandwich sauce (I used manwich brand)
  • 14 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 12 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

directions

  • Rinse beans thoroughly and place in crockpot.
  • Add sloppy joe sauce, water, and brown sugar.
  • Mix in tablespoon of corn starch to thicken.
  • Turn crockpot on low for 3 hours.

Enjoy trying new recipes, especially chinese, mexican, or vegetarian. Diabetic so look for things good for me as well as good tasting. Mother is from Pennsylvania Dutch background, so have enjoyed some fine food, though I can't say the best for me. Not a great baker. I like to "play" with recipes which isn't a wonderful idea if you are baking. Also breads and such don't help my diabetes.
