  1. My family went crazy over this! It was easy and tasty. My husband said he doesn't want "regular" sloppy joes ever again! I used a little over 1.5 lbs. of ground beef, so I scaled the sauce ingredients up. Other than that, I followed to a "T". It was difficult to get the top layer of crescent rolls sealed and to the edge of the pan, so I gave up on it, and it was still fine! I used 2 cups of cheese on top, since the recipe does not specify. It took about 20 minutes in the oven. Very quick, very tasty and family friendly! Thanks for sharing!

  2. My picky teenager loved it. He thought it was some sort of pizza dish, so he gobbled it down. Thanks for all the extra tips Karen, they worked well. This is a keeper. Thanks!

  3. This was a big hit! I added green pepper when browning the beef, and about 4oz. of sour cream for a richer flavor. I also substituted cheddar cheese for the mozzarella! MMMMM

  4. Quite tasty! DH asks that I not make this too often. He considers it a risk to his waistline! Substiuted ground turkey, and cheddar cheese for personal preference. Easier to serve if you let it sit for about 5 minutes out of the oven. I think next time I may cheat and buy a can of "Manwich"!!

  5. This is very easy to make and very delicious. It tastes like my mom's chili recipe. My niece and nephew really like it too.

Tweaks

  1. This is a family pleaser. We like to add a little brown sugar to sweeten it up a bit. We also use cheddar cheese instead of the mozzarella. Shared it with my sister and her kids. It was a hit with them, too.

  2. i cant really give this stars because i didnt measure anything, and sort of made it my own. I added vinegar instead of water (probally only 1/4 cup), lots more chili powder while cooking the meat and mixing in the wet ingredients, garlic powder, and used onion powder instead of onions. I also ommited the cheese and the bottom layer of cresent rolls. For concept this is a 5 star recipe, but my family is used to my sloppy joes, sans cheese lol and because another reviewer mentioned the bottom part kind of disapeared i didnt want to waste a can of crescents. I will be making this again - dbf called them "un sloppy joes" and the whole 8 x 11 is gone - which with three people is a rareity, thanks for the great idea!
