  • Brown ground beef and onion, green pepper and garlic in skillet. Cook and stir on medium heat till meat has no pink color left. Drain grease.
  • Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder, mustard and Worcestershire, Tabasco and pork and beans into the meat mixture.
  • Turn burner on high cook till bubbly, stirring off and on.
  • Simmer for 5 minutes. Note" If you like it spicy add more tabasco or any spice you like.
  • For each serving put the bottom half of bun on plate, spoon mixture on top and top with cheese.
  • Cover with top of bun and enjoy.

  1. I liked this because it used ingredients I had on hand. Very easy. But I had to add a lot more spice than called for, and it still seemed to be missing something.

I grew up on a farm and learned to cook from scratch. By age 9 I could follow a recipe.So I have been cookng for a lot of years now. Besides cooking I enjoy bible study, church, crafts, collecting rings and Christmas ornaments, reading, collecting angels and visiting with friends via E mail. Have been married for over 30years and have four children, two of which are handicapped. The kids are all grown now and I am getting use to cooking smaller portions. Recently found out my husband has non-hodgkins-lymphomia. He will start treatment soon. Learning more about healthy eating and healthy cooking.
