  1. I would only change a couple of things to make this "perfect" IMHO. For starters, be sure to cook and drain your LEAN ground beef first to reduce the fat, then add the veggies and finish the browning. Simmer on low with the lid on for an hour and stir every 10-15 minutes. The simmering will render some more fat (just enough). Finally, remove lid and reduce for about 10-15 minutes on low. DISCO!
