Questions & Replies

  1. How about if instead of using a slow cooker I were to put all the ingredients in a sealed bag and cook it in the SousVide cooker. Same idea, right?

  2. For those of you that added potatoes, did you still put over noodles or rice?

  1. Super easy and so delicious. I used Recipe #29766 as my the basis for my Bloody Mary mix and added a tablespoon of horseradish to provided it with a little kick. This makes a lot of a rich and tasty sauce so one could reduce the amount a bit or do as I did and adding extra carrots and halved small Yukon gold potatoes to make this a one dish meal. Thanks for terrific meal.

  2. Great recipe. I did modify a bit. I added about 24oz of spicy bloody mix, 2 coarsely chopped potatoes and 3 cloves of minced garlic. It was quite tender after cooking for 7 hrs. Probably b/c I added extra mix. Loved it! Thanks for sharing.

  3. i love this recipe! i dont drink anymore but i still crave bloody marys and this is the perfect fix. i always add 4 halved red potatoes with the skins still on. they make the meal even more fulfilling and cook perfectly in the crockpot. my crockpot ckn always seems perfectly tender about 4 hours on low. much longer and it dries out. thx for postiing!

  4. Rats! No vodka in the recipe LOL!

  5. This was very easy and quite special! There are no Bloody Mary mixes in Germany which I know of, so I used this recipe: by LeggyPeggy: https://cookingonpage32.wordpress.com/2012/09/05/bloody-mary-mix/ My slow cooker is not really slow, so even on low I have to stop the cooking process after 4 hours or I get mush. But that's just my crock, it's the most simple and basic version of a slow cooker LOL This will be one of my to-go-recipes when I don't have much time to cook and prepare a meal! Thanks for sharing! Made this for Culinary Quest 2016 / New York for team IH?
