Slow Cooker Butternut Squash

- 1 whole butternut squash, washed
- 1⁄2 cup water
directions
- Place squash in your crockpot. Pour the water back into the tea kettle or on whatever houseplant could use it - don't add it to the crockpot.
- Cook on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours, or on LOW for 6 to 8 hours, or until it's soft and can be easily pierced. The exact time will depend on just how large the squash it.
- Cut in half, scrape out the seeds and scoop out the cooked squash, use as desired.

My screen name is a diminutive in Lithuanian for bread, so you won't be suprised to learn that I love to bake bread. In recent years I have been baking a lot of sourdough breads and have several starters sitting in my refrigerator. But I like to cook a lot of other things, as well, especially from various cultures.
