  1. Wow! I've never had Sloppy Joes but these were easy and GOOD! Everyone in the family loved them! The only change I made was to eliminate the celery and use 1C green pepper. Served on whole wheat potato rolls. Thanks for sharing....TOTAL keeper!

  2. I cooked for 7 hours on low and it was burnt around the edges and slightly dry because of the long cooking time. The flavour was still nice, but next time I wouldn't cook this for longer than 5 hours, stirring about every hour to ensure it doesn't burn.

  3. Excellent recipe! Was expecting it to be thicker; however, it was terrific! I buttered and broiled the buns until golden. I also added mushrooms, cut thick, since I had them and they turned out fantastic!!

  4. This would have been a lot better if I hadn't overcooked it! I was gone longer than I had expected to be and when I got home it was burnt around the edges. Luckily there was enough of an unburnt portion to feed me and my 2 little boys, and we tossed the rest. I will try it again I'm sure and not let it cook too long! I used only 1 pound of ground beef and substituted Tastefully Simple's Onion Onion mix for the onion and garlic. Omitted the celery and green pepper as I didn't have any on hand and I knew it wouldn't go over well with the boys. Good stuff!

  5. This was very good and easy to make. I did change it up some. I used two pounds of ground beef and doubled the other ingredients other then the chili powder. I also didn't add the water and only added one cup of cut up peppers and onions. I cooked this all up on the stove and then kept in warm in the crock pot. Everyone enjoyed this.
