Small BBQ Meatballs on Rice

"I cannot remember where I found this recipe 10 years ago (possibly "Lundi" weekly publication in Quebec Canada). My mother worked in a "cantine" at the time and it's now one of their "featured" dishes. I personally love the taste (slightly sweet) and the rice makes the dish, a must! It's one of my favorite and the sauce can actually be used on Pork Chops as well."

directions

  • Mix all of the meatball ingredients together and form into small meatballs. Place in a baking dish and set aside.
  • Preheat oven at 325°F.
  • Mix all of the sauce ingredients, cook (bring to a boil) on stove top for a few minutes. Put sauce on top of the meatballs and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes.
  • Serve on top of cooked rice.
  • SPECIAL NOTE: The sauce may be doubled if you like a lot of it on your rice -- again, adjust this recipe to your personal liking after trying it once as-is -- there's not one recipe that I haven't adapted to make it my own! :-).

I'm a stay-at-home mom (SAHM) of two beautiful little girls, Cassandra (4) and Katherine (1 1/2). I love to cook, especially desserts as I have a BIG sweet tooth! I also like to karaoke but I haven't been able to go out and sign since my first daughter was born! I also love photography, crafting, jewelry making, and working out (of which I hope I'll start doing again soon! *lol* my 1 1/2 year old is starting to be "people" friendly which will allow me to put her in the nursery at the gym!). <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/adoptedspring08.jpg">
