  • 2 (15 ounce) cans low-sodium pinto beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can low-sodium black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 large yellow onion, chopped
  • 12 cup ketchup
  • 14 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 12 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 pinch cayenne
  • 3 slices turkey bacon, cooked until crisp

directions

  • Combine everything in a 5 or 6 quart slow cooker. Cover and cook until onion is fork tender, 2 hours on high or 4 hours on low.
