Sneaky Cinnamon Smoothie

"I recently made recipe #245084 which was nice but I found a little bitter for my tastes, to use it up I devised this smoothie. I have a fusspot DD who wont eat vegetables & snuck in a little zucchini too. I know it sounds weird but it blends in easily & you can't even tell it's there, I'll do anything to sneak some veggies in to little miss DD."

  1. Excellent smoothie! Love that it integrates veggies into breakfast. . .perfect for picky toddlers. I did add some flax, a I always do. And my zucchini was frozen which provided great "frost" to the drink. Made for Bevy Tag.

  2. Definitely an unusual combo of ingredients, but the resulting smoothie is VERY, VERY GOOD! I used 1/3 cup of fat-free vanilla yogurt & 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon for the connamon yogurt! Froze the banana & chopped zucchini before using them & had myself a satisfying smoothie, one worth making again! Thanks for sharing your recipe! [Made & reviewed in the Family Picks part of Zaar World Tour 4]

  3. Good! A little weird, but good! lol. I used regular yogurt and added a little cinnamon. And I didn't chop up the zucchini very well, and then neither did my blender for a wee bit or two. My 3-year-old found a small chunk in his glass but he didn't know what it was. lol. Reviewed for ZWT4.

  4. This is yummy Mandy! Unable to get a zucchini, I peeled and lightly cooked some broccoli stem instead. Weird, but it worked! Great taste. I used homemade soy "yogurt" and a scant 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. What I like most is the sneaky addition of some veggie! Thanks!

Melbourne I live on a 5 acre property in the Dandenong Ranges Victoria, Australia, having moved from the burbs when I became pregnant with my now 15 year old daughter Alyssa. Once my daughter was born I became a stay at home mum as I couldn't bear the thought of putting her in daycare. She is the light of my life, I never imagined myself as a mum when younger but now wouldn't have it any other way. Alyssa was made a big sister on the 19th April 2010 when our cheeky little boy Blake was born. I love cooking and experimenting with new recipes so quickly become addicted to Zaar as it was previously known & still use it regularly. In addition to being my kids taxi  I also spend my time, reading, gardening and of course shopping. I'm lucky enough that we have the space & so love growing our own fruits, vegies & herbs, this also means we have plenty of room for animals & at the moment have 2 dogs, Max, a Jackshund who's 6, Fletcher, a Kelpie who's 4, 6 cats Snowpea, Fergus, Ginger, Tango, Annie & Cookie, 4 chooks & 2 Ducks. As well as our pets, we also have a lot of native animals around our area, we have kangaroos, wombats, echidna's, possums as well as rosella's, galah's & Cockatoo's hence the name of where I live..
