  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Beat together butter and sugar.
  3. Add eggs, beating until fluffy.
  4. Add milk and blend together.
  5. In a separate bowl, sift together dry ingredients.
  6. Add to butter mixture and combine thoroughly.
  7. Drop by teaspoonfuls on lightly greased cookie sheets.
  8. Bake for about 15 minutes.
  9. Remove to cooling racks; cool thoroughly.
  10. Frost when cool if desired.
